Just past Sachuest Beach, known as "Second Beach" to most, is Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge in Middletown, Rhode Island. This preserve offers 242 acres with hiking trails and viewing platforms. The visitor center parking lot is just such a platform for this watercolor capture of Second Beach. With so much to offer, this painting makes sure to include one thing visitors to the refuge will not find: beach parking.
