ABOUT THE PAINTING
One August afternoon while driving along Route 295 in Rhode Island, a flash rainstorm blasted the area. The weather burst was gone quickly, but not before soaking the roadway with buckets of water which quickly started to burn off in the summer air. With saturated colors and dramatic brushstrokes, this wet-on-wet watercolor painting captures that misty, humid summertime moment. I'm happy I captured the scene with my phone from which to paint. And if anyone were to ask, I was a passenger in the car at the time.
